What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?

Hypnosis is a very relaxing and comfortable experience. It feels similar to the feeling you have just prior to sleep, you are aware of things like sounds, light, even people around you but you are so relaxed you don’t want to move because you don’t want to let anything disturb your relaxation.

There has never been a documented case of harm coming to anyone from the therapeutic use of hypnotism.

Can A Person Be Stuck In Hypnosis?

Never! If you are thinking what if I was to be hypnotized and something were to happen to the hypnotist and I were left alone, still hypnotized? What would happen? Simple! You would just snap right out of hypnosis whenever you were ready. When you are in a state of hypnosis, anything alarming or of importance would pop you right out of this state. There is absolutely no danger to you in a state of hypnosis.

Can I Be Controlled By The Hypnotist?

Certainly not! Hypnosis is always a "consent" state and you have complete control of the situation at all times. It only appears that way in "Stage Hypnosis", where the hypnotist asks for" volunteers" and picks people out of the crowd that most likely would have been the class clowns in high school. Also keep in mind that people don’t just jump right up to volunteer for something unless they have seen, done or have some idea of the "expected" outcome.

Can A Person Be Hypnotized Against Their Will?

No, no one can be hypnotized against his or her will. Hypnosis is always a "consent", The Hypnotist merely guides the subject, into hypnosis. Does Hypnosis Weaken The Will? Hypnosis works with the will, not against it.
